Certification Exam: Advanced App Building

This exam is designed to test your knowledge of the full Tulip platform, as well as your ability to use those features to build complex Tulip applications. This is our most advanced exam, and therefore intentionally difficult. We recommend putting in between 20-40 hours of app building before attempting it.

You will only have 5 attempts total to pass this exam.

Before you get started, here’s what we’ll cover on this exam:

• App Design Best Practice
• Complex Trigger logic
• Interacting with Tables in App
• Connectors and Connector Authentication
• Analytics
• Devices (GPIO, Zebra Printers, Factory Kit devices)
• Datatypes and Typecasting
• Complex Expressions in the Expression Editor

This is an “open book” style exam. We strongly encourage you to use your Tulip instance to help you answer the questions, and to use our knowledge base and Tulip University as you need.

Everything covered in this exam is covered in either Tulip University or the Knowledge Base. As preparation for this exam, we suggest working through several of the Feature Deep-Dive courses. We also suggest spending time trying to build your own applications and solutions.
